This Privacy Policy explains how PG's Chair ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit our website, book an appointment, complete an intake form, or sign up for text messages.

1. Information We Collect

• Contact information: Name, phone number, email address, and emergency contact details you provide when booking.
• Intake form information: Hair and scalp health details (allergies, medications, scalp conditions, history of hair loss or breakage), hair texture/length/density, service preferences, and reference photos you choose to upload.
• Text messaging information: Your mobile phone number and your consent status if you opt in to receive text messages from us.
• Booking activity: Appointment history, services booked, and communications related to scheduling.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Schedule, confirm, and prepare for your appointments
• Provide safe, appropriate braiding services based on your hair and scalp health details
• Send appointment reminders, confirmations, and (if you've opted in) promotional messages
• Respond to your questions or requests
• Improve our services

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Text Messaging (SMS)

If you opt in to text messages, we use your phone number solely to send the types of messages you agreed to (appointment reminders, confirmations, and/or promotional offers). No mobile opt-in information is shared with third parties for marketing purposes. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP.

4. Photos & Media

Reference photos you upload: If you upload a reference/inspiration photo on your intake form, it's used only to prepare for your appointment and is not posted publicly or used for marketing without your separate consent.

Before/after and portfolio photos we take: We may take photos or videos of your hair/style during or after your appointment for our portfolio, website, or social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.). We only use these for marketing with your separate, opt-in consent — collected as its own checkbox (not bundled with booking or SMS consent), unchecked by default. You can decline this and still receive services normally.

If you consent: Photos/videos may show your hairstyle and may include your face; we do not include your name, phone number, or other contact details alongside publicly posted photos unless you tell us it's okay to tag/credit you.

Revoking consent: You can withdraw photo/media consent at any time by contacting us. We'll stop using the photo/video going forward and remove it from our own social media and website where reasonably possible; we can't retract copies already reshared by others (e.g., someone who reposted it) or already-printed materials.

5. How We Store and Protect Your Information

Your information is stored through our booking and client-management platform (Bella Booking) and, for text messaging, our SMS service provider. We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

Health-related information you disclose on your intake form (allergies, scalp conditions, etc.) is used only to inform your service and is not shared outside of what's needed to provide that service.

6. Who We Share Information With

We share information only with:

• Bella Booking, our booking and client-management platform, to schedule and manage your appointments
• Our SMS provider, to deliver text messages you've opted in to
• Service providers who work at our salon, as needed to prepare for and provide your service
• Legal authorities, if required by law

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

7. Your Choices

• Text messages: Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for assistance.
• Marketing emails: You can unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email.
• Your information: You can request to review, update, or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us (see below).

8. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as you remain an active client, and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping and legal purposes. You can request deletion of your information at any time, subject to any legal or business record-keeping requirements.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are intended for adults and, where applicable, minors accompanied by a parent or guardian who provides consent. We do not knowingly collect information from children without appropriate parental involvement.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
